Hokie Club members were able to raise more than $22 million in annual fund dollars prior to March 1, 2024.

NIL AT VIRGINIA TECH

Advancing our name, image and likeness (NIL) program is crucial for the future success of our student-athletes and Virginia Tech Athletics. NIL is at the forefront of many current student-athletes’ and potential recruits’ minds when coming to Blacksburg.  It is imperative for Hokie Nation to keep Virginia Tech competitive in this space against some of the other elite programs in collegiate athletics. Fortunately, it’s never been easier to support these NIL initiatives.

In accordance with House Bill 1505 passed in April 2024, Virginia public and private institutions are now allowed to facilitate and support name, image and likeness opportunities for student-athletes, streamlining the process for Virginia Tech.

Not only does this position us more competitively among other states during this critical time, but it also allows for more school involvement as we continue to enhance our recruiting and retention efforts to bring the most talented student-athletes to Virginia Tech.

IF I WANT TO SUPPORT NIL, WHAT CAN I DO?

There are multiple options to support student-athletes’ NIL interests at Virginia Tech!

If you want to support all aspects of our student-athletes’ experience, including NIL, you can support a specific sport at Virginia Tech or make a gift of general support for all student-athletes via:

  1. The Keep Jumping Fund within the Hokie Club for general NIL support or the sport of your choice to support that programs specific needs. Call Evan Massengill in the Hokie Club at 540-312-3792 for more information.
  2. The Triumph NIL Collective. Triumph is a subscription-based service that connects Tech fans with Hokie student-athletes, directly supporting the NIL interests of student-athletes. This includes content like meet & greets, podcasts, exclusive video content and more. Triumph NIL is the best place to brand your business with a student-athlete and promotional opportunities! Learn more about these creative activations by visiting triumphnil.com.
  3. The Hokie Way, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, will continue to connect Southwest Virginia charities with student-athletes to advance our community, in the spirit of “Ut Prosim”. To learn more about The Hokie Way, go to thehokieway.org.
