CARRYING MOMENTUM
The Hokies earned their first win in nearly a month this past Sunday defeating No. 43 Miami in thrilling fashion, 4-3. Tech had good individual performances before the match against the Canes but Jim Thompson and Co. were able to put it all together in a match that the Hokies needed. Jordan Chysostom and Ryan Fishback have anchored Tech in doubles on Court 1 wtih a 5-1 mark that dosen't show just how many matches they have lead before going unfinished. The Hokie hero Alvaro Saez-Royuela Ariza moved to 5-2 this season with a 2-1 record against nationally ranked foes. Fishback leads the team with seven singles wins in his 12 matches, all of which have been played on Court 1.
