NORMAN, Okla. – Sophomore Morgan Ketchum fired a 9-under 201 (67-66-68) to capture the second collegiate title of her career and first outright at the Schooner Fall Classic, which concluded Monday at Belmar Golf Club (par 70, 6,182 yards). Behind Ketchum's stellar play, Virginia Tech finished runner-up in the team standings to defending national champion Wake Forest.

The Hokies shined in the Oklahoma sun, posting a cumulative 7-under 833 (280-274-279), paced by three Hokies in the top 25. Wake Forest, ranked No. 4 in the latest Golfweek standings, carded a 29-under 811 (270-270-271) to claim the team title. Purdue took third at 3-under 837, followed by Houston (838) and Florida State (841). Tech racked up 44 birdies and three eagles throughout the tournament.

In addition to Ketchum, Valentine Delon was exceptional on her way to a 5-under 205 (71-67-67) and a tie for 10th. The freshman from France logged a pair of eagles during the weekend. Fellow classmate Emily Mathews tied for 25th at 2-over 212 (71-67-74). Becca DiNunzio (217) and Katherine Lemke (226) tied for 51st and placed 73rd, respectively. Competing as an individual, Symone Henriques tied for 48th at 6-over 216.

Ketchum edged Lilly Thomas of Tulsa for the individual crown, her second trip to the winner's circle. The Winston-Salem, N.C., native shared the individual title at the 2023 Clemson Invitational back in March.

Tech returns to the course Oct. 9-10 at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational hosted by North Carolina at Governors Club in Chapel Hill, N.C.
