Lacrosse announces 2024 schedule

Schedule

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech lacrosse head coach Kristen Skiera announced the program's 2024 schedule on Friday.
The 17-game spring slate consists of nine home contests and eight away games, including seven matchups with teams that competed in the 2023 NCAA DI Women's Lacrosse Championship.

"Our team is enthusiastically awaiting the 2024 season that is right around the corner," Skiera said ahead of her third year with the Hokies. "This schedule will challenge us early and often; however, I believe it will prepare our team for success when it comes time to meet the goals we set. With some familiar faces that we've had the last couple of seasons and some awesome newcomers, we look forward to competing in front of Hokie Nation this spring!"

The Hokies open their season on Feb. 10 against VCU, marking the third season in a row the two Commonwealth sides have matched up. Last year, Tech opened its campaign against the Rams with a 14-8 victory – the program's 200th win in its history.

On Feb. 14, Virginia Tech returns to Harrisonburg for its first away game against JMU since defeating the Dukes for the first time in program history back in 2022, which also marked Skiera's first win with the Hokies.

Before starting conference place, Tech will take on Mercer (Feb. 17) and Queens (Feb. 21).
