• Attended McLean High School where he was a four-year letterwinner
• Two-time All-Met, All-State, and All-Region (2025, 2026)
• Three-time All-District (2024, 2025, 2026)
• Region Champion (2024) and District Champion (2025)
• Captained the team his senior season
• In the classroom, he spent all four years on the Honor Roll

CLUB
• Trained with SYC MLS Next for three seasons
• Was selected for Best of Uncommitted Game

PERSONAL
• Son of Jennifer and Mark Hamel
• Has two older sisters, Natalie and Joelle, and a younger brother, David
• Joelle currently plays soccer at Mount St. Mary’s (2024-present)
• Majoring in Electrical Engineering
• Aspires to play professionally after college
• Is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)
• Enjoys going to the beach and seeing family in his free time off the pitch
• Emulates his game after Joshua Kimmich
