Emily Patton

Responsibilities: Provides comprehensive oversight of academic support services for all football student-athletes at Virginia Tech.

Joined VT Athletics Staff: June 2020

At Virginia Tech: She currently serves as an Associate Director in Student-Athlete Academic Support Services (SAASS), with primary responsibility for academic oversight of the football program.

Prior to Virginia Tech: Patton served as the Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Academic Services and Director of Football Advising at the University of Toledo. Before her time at Toledo, she held positions at West Virginia University, the University of Texas at San Antonio, and the University of Missouri.

Education: Bethany College (BA in Political Science, Spanish minor): University of Missouri (ME in Educational Counseling Psychology)

Personal: A native of Poland, Ohio, Patton resides in Christiansburg
