Jordan Long

Responsibilities: Jordan works primarily with Football but was also previously the lead videographer for Men’s Basketball and Wrestling. Jordan’s main responsibilities include filming and creating video content for social media, recruiting, and occasionally in-venue. He also helps lead the creative video student intern program, and oversees creative video content for Softball, Track and Field and Cross Country.

Education: Jordan graduated from Turner Ashby High School in Bridgewater, Virginia. He went on to earn his associate’s degree from Blue Ridge Community College before transferring to Virginia Tech where he graduated with his bachelor’s degree in public relations in 2017.

Joining VT Athletics: Jordan joined the video team as an undergraduate student production assistant and student editor in 2015. Jordan was hired as the Coordinator of Creative Video in 2018 and then promoted to Assistant Director of Creative Video in 2022. In 2025, he was promoted to the Associate Director of Creative Video.

More About Jordan: Jordan grew up in Rockingham County, Virginia, where he was surrounded by a Hokie family. Attending football games since he was four years old, it was always his dream to attend Virginia Tech and work in sports. Outside of work, he enjoys snowboarding, dirt biking, playing basketball and soccer, and spending time with his dogs and family.
