Prior to Virginia Tech: Stone joins the Hokies after serving as the Athletic Trainer for Memphis 901 FC, a professional soccer team in Memphis, TN. Prior to Stone’s professional soccer experience she was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at University of Memphis coordinating all sports medicine needs of the men’s soccer and men’s tennis teams.
Prior to Moving to Memphis, TN Stone spent 4 Years at Virginia Tech. Stone first began as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Virginia Tech Spirit Squads from 2016-2019. Stone was then hired as a full time Athletic Trainer for Virginia Tech Women’s Soccer from 2019 -2020.
Education: Towson University, 2016 (BS in Athletic Training), Virginia Tech, 2018 (MAEd)
Of Note: Julie has been a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association since 2016. She is a licensed Athletic Trainer by the Virginia Board of Health Professions.
Personal: Julie is from Severna Park, MD. Julie lives in Blacksburg with her husband Andrew and her dog Roxy.
