Associate Director of Donor Experience, Stewardship

Responsibilities: In her current role as the Associate Director of Donor Experience for Stewardship, Buhrdorf is responsible for the oversight and best practices in donor services, including but not limited to donor stewardship. Buhrdorf plans and executes donor engagement strategies and stewardship initiatives to recognize transformational support, foster a culture of gratitude and showcase the impact of each Hokie Club member while collaborating with the donor experience team to assist in events and premium operations when needed. In addition to her other responsibilities, Buhrdorf also oversees the Hokie Club internship program.

Joined VT Athletics Staff: 2021

At Virginia Tech: While she was a student at Virginia Tech, Buhrdorf served as a marketing intern for the athletics department and a student worker in the ticket office. After leaving Blacksburg post-graduation to pursue grad school and other career opportunities, Buhrdorf returned to serve the Hokie community as the Assistant Director of Stewardship & Events before moving into her current role as the Associate Director of Donor Experience for the Hokie Club.

Prior to Virginia Tech: Before returning to Blacksburg, Buhrdorf worked for various organizations including Sportable (a non-profit for adaptive sports), the National Wheelchair Basketball Association, ESPN, and Lowe's.

Education: Virginia Tech, 2018 (B.S. Marketing; Business Leadership minor); Virginia Commonwealth University, 2019 (M.Ed. Sport Leadership).
