Responsibilities: As the Director of Donor Experience for Premium Seating & Stewardship, Buhrdorf is responsible for enhancing the donor experience through intentional engagement strategies and stewardship initiatives that recognize transformational support, foster a culture of gratitude and showcase the critical impact of each Hokie Club member. Buhrdorf also oversees the premium seating team, ensuring a first-class gameday experience for all patrons. In addition to her other responsibilities, Buhrdorf manages the Hokie Club internship program too.
Joined VT Athletics Staff: 2021
At Virginia Tech: While a student at Virginia Tech, Buhrdorf served as a marketing intern for the athletics department and a student-worker in the ticket office. After graduating, she left Blacksburg to pursue grad school and additional career opportunities before returning in 2021 to serve the Hokie community as Assistant Director of Stewardship & Events. She was promoted to Associate Director of Donor Experience in 2024 and advanced to her current role as Director of Donor Experience within the Hokie Club in the latter half of 2025.
Prior to Virginia Tech: Before returning to Blacksburg, Buhrdorf worked for various organizations including Sportable (a non-profit for adaptive sports), the National Wheelchair Basketball Association, ESPN, and Lowe's.
Education: Virginia Tech, 2018 (B.S. Marketing; Business Leadership minor); Virginia Commonwealth University, 2019 (M.Ed. Sport Leadership).
