Prior to Virginia Tech: Iannone spent the 2025 season at Penn State as the director of external operations, his second stint with the Nittany Lions. He served at Old Dominion for five seasons prior, beginning his tenure there in 2020 as assistant director of football operations.
In 2022, Iannone transitioned into the director of player personnel in charge of recruiting before a move back to the operations side in the spring of 2023, serving two years as director of football operations.
He spent the 2019 season as an operations assistant at Penn State.

Personal: A native of Lewistown, Pennsylvania, Iannone and his wife, Rachel, reside in Blacksburg.
