Cameron Moore named All-America Scholar

Virginia Tech men's golfer Cameron Moore has been named to the 2020 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars team, as awarded by the Golf Coaches Association of America. This is first time on the list for Moore.

Moore, a native of Richmond, Virginia is one of 24 Atlantic Coast Conference student-athletes named to the team in the first wave of winners. A second wave of honorees will be announced in July.

Moore, a sophomore who majors in business information technology, appeared in four of the team's six matches this season. He finished tied for 26that the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate in October, where he posted a career-low 5-under 67 in the second round.
 
To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically in Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate's Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. For 2019-20 only, they must participate in 40% of the team's competitive rounds
