BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech football spoke with the media for its weekly press conference as the team prepares for the upcoming matchup versus NC State. Brent Pry highlighted the significance of the final home game of the season, and Nasir Peoples expressed his thoughts on being a senior.

Read below to see what they had to say.

Head Coach Brent Pry

On the importance of Senior Day for student-athletes:
"It's great, these guys deserve this, and it's such a special day for them. When they look back, they're going to remember that, and being out there with their families. We're doing a group photo at the end, and I think the fans appreciate it. These guys deserve the notoriety and the applause. To me, it's a special day that deserves recognition and I'm excited about it for them."

Safety Nasir Peoples

On his tenure at Virginia Tech:
"I'm surprised I've been here that long. It's been a long time. I've been here six years. I still remember when I first got here. I didn't expect to be here six years, but I enjoyed every moment. Like, just going on that field every time is a big thing. Like, Enter Sandman, you never get tired of it, so I'm going to miss that."

Defensive Lineman Antwaun Powell-Ryland

On J.C. Price helping his development:
"I mean, really just the mindset of how to play the game. You know, most definitely on the field, how I think out there as far as, reading keys or just playing the game in general."
