WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW - What is The Hokie Club?

Yes! As we continue to "Reach for Excellence," your contribution, no matter the size, is the single best way to help us continue our positive momentum and impact the lives of Hokie student-athletes.

Any gift to any fund for a Virginia Tech Athletics program makes you a Hokie Club member! However, to qualify for annual benefits, a priority ranking, and a membership level, a minimum gift of $25 to the Hokie Scholarship Fund is required.

Your philanthropic contributions to Virginia Tech Athletics go directly into enhancing the student-athlete experience in Blacksburg in areas such as scholarship and educational support, leadership development, student-athlete wellness, and other programmatic needs for our 22 varsity sports. Your investment in Virginia Tech Athletics is helping make lifelong memories for nearly 600 Hokie student-athletes.

We always encourage you to consult your tax advisor when making philanthropic gifts, however, as a general rule of thumb: Non-seat related contributions including gifts to capital projects, endowments, and Hokie Scholarship Fund gifts that exceed your minimum seat requirement are considered a charitable donation to a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization. Again, please consult a tax advisor on the deductibility of your gift(s).

The Hokie Scholarship Fund was designed to fulfill the growing expenses of student-athlete scholarships at Virginia Tech. Hokie Club members were able to raise more than $20 million in annual fund dollars prior to the close of Drive Year 2023. Final membership count for the Hokie Club exceeded 25,000 members for the second consecutive year in department history.

Important Dates

NEW IN 2024: Four early deadlines have been placed in order for you to renew your season tickets and/or gift to the Hokie Scholarship Fund to earn extra priority points! Not only will you lock in bonus priority points pivotal during the reseating year if you renew by these dates, but you’ll also be entered to win a drawing for even more priority points. Check out the dates below to make sure you renew early enough to clinch these priority point bonuses.

In order to lock in your desired giving level and benefits, necessary for tickets and parking, all giving to the Hokie Scholarship Fund must be complete by this date. Football and basketball season tickets must be renewed by this date as well.

THE BENEFITS OF GIVING

Hokie Scholarship Fund

All Hokie Club members who wish to be eligible for benefits such as tickets and parking must make a minimum gift of $25 to the Hokie Scholarship Fund. You can reach your giving level with one payment or one of the convenient recurring payment plan options that can help you achieve your desired giving level by the early deadline of December 12 or the final deadline of March 1.

Here are the levels of giving that are available to support Virginia Tech student-athletes through the Hokie Scholarship Fund:

Priority Points System

1 Point

per purchased season ticket with a maximum of 16 points accumulated per sport, per year**

1 Point

per neutral site or postseason event with ticket purchase*

2 Points

for every $100 cumulative giving to Virginia Tech Athletics

3 Points

per consecutive year of purchasing season tickets**

5 Points

per consecutive year of giving to the Hokie Scholarship Fund*

5 Points

per year of membership in the Student Hokie Club

50 Points

for being a former Virginia Tech letterwinner (one-time bonus)

* The first points earned for consecutive years giving and tickets would be in a donor’s second year contributing or purchasing tickets. Donors will not have technically given or purchased in consecutive years until they have occured in back-to-back years.

** Includes football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and baseball

Hokie Club Donors will receive priority points for the following activities:

1 Point	per purchased season ticket (football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and baseball) with a maximum of 16 points accumulated per sport, per year

STADIUM MAPS

Seating & Parking

All season ticket holders for Virginia Tech Football and Basketball are required to make a per-seat gift to the Hokie Scholarship Fund by March 1, 2024. This is also the deadline to renew/order football and women's basketball season tickets, as well as a men's basketball season ticket membership. 2024 is a reseating year, which means all seats in Lane Stadium and Cassell Coliseum and parking locations will be reset and reorganized based on priority point rank.

Please check out the giving requirements for your desired seat or parking location in the tabs below. Because 2024 is a reseating year, all season ticket holders will be required to pay the lowest price per ticket during the renewal process and will pay any additional costs during the reseat process.

The reseating process will take place in Spring and Summer 2024. All ticket holders will receive an email in the late spring for their seating/parking selection appointment, in which they will have a chance to lock in their seating and parking choices for the next three years.

Included for next year is complimentary chairbacks for football season ticket holders in price levels 1-6 in Lane Stadium.
