BLACKSBURG – Head coach Justin Fuente added three student-athletes to Virginia Tech's 2019 recruiting class on Wednesday, bolstering the Hokies' defensive line, offensive line and quarterback positions.
 
In total, Tech has added 22 players, including 19 student-athletes who signed in December. The group is comprised of players from 11 different states. The signing period concludes on April 1.
 
The Hokies now have 10 defensive signees in this class with four owning post-high school experience coming out of the junior college ranks. The Tech coaching staff inked six projected defensive tackles in this class, three of whom come to Blacksburg from junior colleges. Offensively, Tech signed four offensive linemen in this recruiting class, including two consensus four-star prospects.
 
For the second consecutive year, Virginia was once again the Hokies' most represented state with six signees committing to stay home to play for the Hokies. Following the Commonwealth in number of signees is Florida (three), North Carolina (two), South Carolina (two), Georgia (three) and one signee each from Kentucky, West Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Mississippi and Delaware.
