Hokie ClubBLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech men's basketball team will play a 20-game Atlantic Coast Conference schedule and makes its first-ever trip to the Maui Jim Maui Invitational to highlight Mike Young's first season as the Hokies' head coach.
As previously announced, the Hokies will play 20 ACC games during the 2019-20 season, including 10 home contests against teams from the best conference in collegiate basketball. Tech will continue to have Virginia and Miami as their primary rivals. In the 2019-20 season, Virginia Tech will also have repeat games with Boston College, Clemson, Duke and Syracuse. In addition to the six home games in the repeat games, the Hokies will also host Florida State, North Carolina, NC State and Pitt.
Season ticket renewals are currently available to purchase, with prices remaining the same as the last two seasons. Season tickets can be renewed by logging in to your ticket account here. New donors and the general public may purchase season tickets later this month. The Hokies will open the 2019-20 season on Tuesday, Nov. 5, as they travel to Littlejohn Coliseum to play ACC foe Clemson. The contest, part of a league-wide season opening set of games to help launch the ACC Network, will be televised by either ESPN2 or ESPNU.
A late November trip to the prestigious Maui Jim Maui Invitational highlights the non-conference portion of the slate. Tech will play Michigan State in the first round of the event on Monday, Nov. 25 at 5 p.m. EST on ESPN2. The Hokies will play either Dayton or Georgia in the second round. Teams on the other side of the bracket are BYU, Chaminade, Kansas and UCLA. The tournament will be played in Maui Nov. 25-27 at the Lahaina Civic Center in Lahaina, Hawaii. The Hokies will play a total of 18 homes games this season. Young and the squad inherit a previously-scheduled eight-game home non-conference slate that begins on Friday, Nov. 8, against Coppin State at the Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum. Other home non-conference games include USC Upstate, Lehigh, Delaware State, Gardner-Webb, Chattanooga, VMI and UMES.

The Hokies will enter the 2019-20 campaign coming off an NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearance as Tech finished the season with a school-record 26 wins and 12 ACC victories.
