Top Notes for the Hokies (link to Game Notes pdf packet)
Tech success under Adair while ranked
- As a ranked team under head coach Chugger Adair, the Hokies have an overall mark of 73-29-9 in 111 matches for a 69.8 winning percentage.
- As a ranked team against ranked opponents, Tech holds a 14-33-5 overall mark and are 11-25-4 under Adair. However, in such matches, Tech is 0-8-3 since a win at No. 22 Duke on Oct. 4, 2015.
- As a ranked team against an unranked opponent, the Hokies are 62-4-5 (90.8%) with losses coming to Ohio State (Nov. 20, 2015, 1-0 (n) and Sept. 1, 2016, 2-1), Wake Forest (Oct. 18, 2014, 1-0) and Nebraska (2011) - the last three listed were home.
- In matches against unranked opponents overall under Adair, Tech holds a mark of 98-10-12 in 120 matches for an 86.6 winning percentage.

Double figures in wins reached, looking to match in shutouts
- Prior to 2008, Tech reached the 10-win plateau just once (2004, 11) and since has posted at least 10 victories in a season 11 times, including a nine-year stretch from 2008-16.
- Head coach Chugger Adair has now won at least 10 matches in eight of his nine season at Tech. The only year was 2017, when the team won seven, the fewest victories since 2006.
- The Hokies have nine shutouts this year marking the eighth time the team has recorded at least nine clean sheets in a single season. Just five times the team has reached double figures (2011-14, 2018).
- Currently, the nine shutouts are tied for the most 15 matches into a season (2012 & 2014), while the 11 goals allowed are the second fewest at the same point (10, 2013 & 2014).
- The 2012 team posted a shutout in match 16 - the fastest squad to reach double figures in shutouts.

Feighan scores and passes for the Hokies
- With her output over the last three matches (two goals, one assist), Molly Feighan pushed her season total to three goals and four assists. She becomes the first Hokies player with three or more in each category since 2015 - Ashley Meier (6g, 5a).
- Her goal in the 10th minute versus Florida State (Oct. 10) was the team's first against the Seminoles since Oct. 12, 2014 (Kallie Peurifoy) and gave the Hokies their first lead over Florida State since Dec. 6, 2013 when Ashley Manning gave Tech a 1-0 lead in the 32nd minute in the College Cup semifinal match.
- Feighan's goal in the 78th minute versus the Wolfpack (Oct. 13) tied the match and helped the Hokies earn a point at NC State as the team's ended in a 0-0 draw in a weather-shortened overtime session.
- Lastly, she recorded the assist on Tech's game-winning goal against Wake Forest (Oct. 18).

McGlynn school record for career shutouts
- Behind a seven-save performance against No. 10 Duke (Oct. 6), Tech's Mandy McGlynn posted the 30th shutout of her Tech career breaking the school record in the process.
- McGlynn, who has cemented her place among Tech's all-time goalkeepers, needed to make four saves in the final 10 minutes of action to preserve the shutout. It was her league-leading eighth of the season, already the third-most ever in a single season, and broke the career mark, which she had shared at 29 with Dayle Colpitts (2010-13) entering the match.
- Against Wake Forest (Oct. 18), McGlynn posted her ninth shutout of the year and increased her career school record to 31.
