Tech's starting frontcourt dominated in the post Friday afternoon against App State, combining for 44 points, 21 rebounds and 10 blocks. Center Elizabeth Kitley recorded a career-high 30 points and tied a Cassell Coliseum record with 14 field goals against the Mountaineers and collected her fourth double-double in as many contests this season.
Her counterpart Asiah Jones registered her first double-double in a Hokie uniform with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Jones is averaging 11.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per contest.
•A 60TH consecutive win at Cassell for the program
The Hokeis haven't lost a home non-conference game since December 4, 2014, a streak of 59 consecutive games. In Coach Brooks' tenure, he is 43-0 and his Hokies own an average margin of victory of 24.86 and have 14 wins of 30 or more points in home games against non-conference opposition.
