On Thursday morning USTFCCCA announced their regional awards following the indoor track season, and Director of Track and Field Dave Cianelli earned Men's Coach of the Year for the Southeast Region.
Now in his 20th season at the helm of Hokies track and field, Cianelli received the award for the 18th time at Virginia Tech. Additionally, the occasion marks the third consecutive season Cianelli has won Indoor Coach of the Year, and the fourth time in the last five seasons.
The award follows a season in which the Virginia Tech men's track and field team was crowned ACC Indoor champions and will send four athletes and two relay teams to the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.
