BLACKSBURG — The Virginia Tech men's golf team heads to the Research Triangle for the second time in three weeks for its regular-season finale at the Stitch Intercollegiate. Ninth-ranked NC State will host the 54-hole tournament, Friday through Saturday, at MacGregor Downs Country Club in Cary, N.C.
The Wolfpack headlines the 11-team tournament field, having won three straight stroke-play events entering this weekend.
For the second consecutive tournament, Tech will travel Mark Lawrence Jr., Connor Burgess, Charlie Hanson, Cameron Moore and Daniel Azallion. The Hokies are coming off an eight-place showing at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational. They carded a season-best, 13-under 275 in the second round – led by Burgess' 7-under 65.
Tee times are still being finalized, but Tech will have all five of its golfers playing together.
