Hokie ClubBLACKSBURG — Virginia Tech men's basketball head coach Mike Young announced Wednesday the signing of Clemson transfer Lynn Kidd.
Kidd, a 6-foot-10 center, will be able to play immediately for the 2021-22 academic year and has four seasons of eligibility remaining. The Gainesville, Florida native played in seven games as a true freshman for Clemson last season.
"We are happy to announce the signing of Lynn Kidd to our program," Young said. "Adding his size and athleticism to our front court is a huge addition for the Hokies. We are very familiar with Lynn and his family and are thrilled to add a player of his character and skillset to our team."
Kidd is the fourth newcomer set to join the Hokies for the 2021-22 campaign, accompanying Wofford transfer Storm Murphy, and high school players Sean Pedulla and Jalen Haynes.
