JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Postseason competition has begun earnestly for the Hokies, as the track and field squad gets set to compete at the 2021 NCAA East Regional Championships following success at the ACC meet.
31 Hokies have their sights set on qualification for the 2021 NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore. through competition at this year's regional prelims. The four-day preliminary meet will run from Wednesday, May 26 through Saturday, May 29 at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.

Action gets underway for the men's squad on Wednesday and Friday, and the women's team will compete on Thursday and Saturday.

HOKIES TO WATCH
With 12 athletes seeded in the top ten of their events, the Hokies will look for a successful week of preliminary action. Notable athletes include Fitsum Seyoum, who enters the meet with the fastest 3000m steeplechase in the country following his title-winning performance at the ACC Championships. Lindsey Butler, the indoor 800m champion in the ACC, claimed silver at the conference meet and eyes qualification as the second seeded 800m runner. Eszter Bajnok ranks in the top ten in both the long jump and the triple jump and looks set for a busy two days of competition.
