RB Trey Edmunds is currently on the Steelers' practice squad.

Jacksonville at Houston – 1 p.m. ET – CBS
Texans' QB Tyrod Taylor was named the starting quarterback prior to their Week 1 matchup with the Jaguars. Houston will become the fourth NFL franchise that Taylor has started for, joining Buffalo (2015-17), Cleveland (2018) and the L.A. Chargers (2020). On the other sideline, Hokie alums Nick Sorenson (Special Teams Coordinator) and Todd Washington (Assistant Offensive Line) work on the Jaguars staff. K Joey Slye was signed to the Texans practice squad this week.

L.A. Chargers at Washington – 1 p.m. ET – CBS
The Washington Football Team leads all other NFL teams with three Hokies on its opening-day roster: CB Kendall Fuller, DT Tim Settle and TE Logan Thomas, who was named one of the team's eight captains this week. The Tech trio hosts the Chargers, who have former Hokies CB Brandon Facyson on their practice squad, for a 1 p.m. matchup Sunday.

Seattle at Indianapolis – 1 p.m. ET – FOX
T Duane Brown will make his 2021 debut in Week 1 after not playing during the preseason. The Virginia native is joined in Seattle by DT Jarrod Hewitt, who signed on to the Seahawks' practice squad after a preseason that saw him record 2.5 TFL, including 1.5 sacks.

Minnesota at Cincinnati – 1 p.m. ET – FOX
Vikings' first-round T Christian Darrisaw has returned to practice this week following a surgical procedure during training camp. Darrisaw and the Vikings are hopeful he can be ready to play versus the Bengals on Sunday.

Arizona at Tennessee – 1 p.m. ET – CBS
CB Caleb Farley, who was also taken in the first round of this year's draft, should make his NFL regular season debut Sunday as his Titans host the Cardinals. Farley played in the final two preseason games for Tennessee and made three tackles in the finale.

Cleveland at Kansas City – 4:25 p.m. ET – CBS
In a rematch of a 2020 AFC Divisional Round matchup, G Wyatt Teller and the Browns visit the Chiefs for the marquee doubleheader game on CBS Sunday. Teller saw action in the Browns' final preseason game and was ranked as the No. 2 offensive lineman in the league last season by Pro Football Focus.

Green Bay at New Orleans – 4:25 p.m. ET – FOX
T Yosh Nijman saw a ton of action for the Packers in the preseason, playing 100 percent and 95 percent of Green Bay's offensive snaps in the first and third preseason games, respectively. The Maplewood, New Jersey native is ready for Green Bay's opener versus the Saints, which has been relocated to Jacksonville, Florida because of Hurricane Ida.

Denver at N.Y. Giants – 4:25 p.m. ET – FOX
After spending the past six seasons in Chicago, CB Kyle Fuller will be wearing a different shade of orange this year after signing with the Broncos in the off-season. Fuller started the final two preseason games for Denver and made two tackles in the finale.

RB Khalil Herbert and the Bears visit the L.A. Rams on Sunday Night Football. Herbert, a 2021 sixth-round pick of Chicago, had an impressive preseason rushing for 63 yards on 14 attempts, including a 13-yard touchdown. The leading rusher of the Hokies in 2020 also recorded five receptions for 24 yards in the preseason. K Brian Johnson is on the Bears' practice squad.
