BLACKSBURG – After strong performances on both the men's and women's side at last weekend's ACC Cross Country Championships, Virginia Tech cross country hosts its final home meet of the season this Friday in the Hokie Open.

Joining the Hokies on the Buford Meredith Cross Country Course will be regional competition in Eastern Mennonite, Hollins, and Southern Virginia. The men's 6k race begins at 4:00 p.m. followed by the women's 4k at 4:45. Live results will be provided by SnapTiming during the race.
Last time out the Hokies contested the ACC Championships in South Bend, Ind. Led by Lindsey Butler's 15th place finish and All-ACC honors, the women's team placed seventh overall. Ben Fleming finished first for the men, crossing the line 25th as the team placed ninth.
Following the Hokie Open, Tech will look ahead to the NCAA East Regionals, held on Nov. 12 in Louisville, Ky.
