Peter Moore, Kaden Moore named to Freshman All-America Team of The Athletic

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech football had a pair of its players honored Wednesday on The Athletic's Freshman All-America team, as P Peter Moore and G Kaden Moore each earned selections. Peter Moore was named the first-team punter, while Kaden Moore earned second-team offensive line honors. 
 
Peter Moore (6-1, 207) holds a 45.1-yard average on 59 punts this season, which is the highest average in the conference this season. The Davidsonville, Maryland native earned third-team All-ACC honors after tying for the conference lead with 23 punts of 50+ yards and tying for third in the ACC with 22 punts inside the 20-yard line. Moore was also named to The Athletic's Midseason Freshman All-America Team on Oct. 19. 
 
Kaden Moore (6-3, 311) has started all 12 games at right guard for the Hokies making him the only Tech offensive lineman to start every game this season. The Bethlehem, Pennsylvania native was part of the offensive line that helped Tech's rushing offense to the second-best mark in the ACC during conference play this season at 214.5 ypg. Tech averaged 250.5 rushing ypg over its last six contests, including a 29-24 win at Virginia to retain the Commonwealth Cup.
 
The Hokies are going bowling this season and will make their first-ever appearance in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl at 2:15 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 29. The game will be broadcast to a national audience by ESPN. Tickets for the game can be purchased here
