GREENSBORO, N.C. – The No. 21 Virginia Tech women's basketball team (21-8, 13-5) begins its ACC Championship run Thursday morning with a contest against Clemson the 13-seed in the competition.
The Tigers defeated Syracuse 88-69 in their opening matchup First Team All-ACC guard Delicia Washington recorded a 33-point, 11-rebound double-double. Her 33 points are tied for the seventh-most in a single game in ACC Tournament history.
