Hokie ClubBLACKSBURG – Opening a seven-game road swing, the Virginia Tech baseball team (13-6, 2-4 ACC) will trek north in search of scoring a big ACC series victory at No. 12 Notre Dame (12-4, 2-3 ACC) this weekend when the Hokies visit the Fighting Irish for three games at Frank Eck Stadium (March 25-27).
Friday and Saturday's games will air live on ACC Network Extra while Sunday's series finale will air live nationally on ESPN2/ESPNews. Fans may also tune into WRAD-FM 101.7 to listen to the games as called by the radio play-by-play voice of Tech baseball, Evan Hughes.

After Tuesday's 10-3 win against Radford, the Hokies appeared to have rekindled their early-season success, turning the page from their five-game winless stretch that included three one-run defeats. During its latest three-game spark, Tech has scored during all but six of its 24 offensive innings, totaling 42 hits while flexing the 39-10 scoring margin over its opponents. The Hokies' bats have shot up to the eighth best batting average nationally (.326) – third in the ACC behind Virginia (.347) and Wake Forest (.329) – while holding strong with the country's second highest slugging percentage (.610). Tech's bullpen has also looked sharp of late, sporting a 2.00 ERA across its last 18 relief innings.
• Defensive Efficiency: Two of the top three defenses in America will collide on the diamond this weekend when Virginia Tech squares off against Notre Dame. Entering the sixth weekend of the season, the Hokies have committed the fourth fewest errors among NCAA Division I programs (eight), boasting a .989 fielding percentage that ranks third in the nation. To the same degree of precision, the Irish have committed six errors across three fewer games played, fronting the nation's second best fielding percentage (.990) behind Oregon State (.991).
• Series History: Virginia Tech is eager to break through against Notre Dame as the Hokies bid for their first head-to-head series win since 2014.
