GREENSBORO – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced its 2022 Wrestling All-ACC Academic Team on Thursday afternoon, as four Virginia Tech wrestlers earn recognition.
All-ACC Wrestling Academic Team
Connor Brady – Management
Sam Latona – Management
Korbin Myers – Agriculture and Life Sciences
Nathan Traxler – Public Health
The Hokies have several student-athletes receiving the honor for a multiple time. Korbin Myers earns his third All-ACC Academic honor, while Sam Latona and Connor Brady collect their second. Nathan Traxler – while at Stanford – was a multiple time All-PAC-12 Academic Team recipient.
Tech finished the season with another top-10 finish, eight overall, while scoring the fourth most points in program history. Myers earned All-American honors in his final season with the Hokies.
Myers and Traxler finished atop of the podium at the conference championships in Charlottesville, as Latona finished with silver and Brady ultimately earning an NCAA berth with his fourth-place performance.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
