2022 Virginia Tech Baseball Team
Virginia Tech's 2022 baseball team achieved an enormity of unprecedented success, winning nine ACC series (program record) en route to championing the ACC Coastal Division with the conference's best record (19-9).

Peaking as the nation's consensus No. 2-ranked program in late May, the Hokies earned the No. 4 national seed in the 2022 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, sweeping three games during the Blacksburg Regional to advance to the program's first Super Regional (Blacksburg) – its first in its home ballpark.

Led by John Szefc, the 2022 ACC Coach of the Year, Virginia Tech witnessed eight student-athletes earn year-end, all-conference status (program record), including four All-ACC First Team selections: outfielder Gavin Cross, pitcher Drue Hackenberg, outfielder Jack Hurley and shortstop Tanner Schobel.

Four Hokies combined to garner 13 All-American honors – comprising the program's most decorated class all-time – while five went on to hear their names called during the 2022 MLB Draft: Cross (No. 9 overall), Schobel (No. 68), Nick Biddison (No. 135), Cade Hunter (No. 153) and Graham Firoved (No. 467).

Virginia Tech's 45 overall wins during the 2022 campaign also marked the program's most during its ACC tenture (since 2005).
