BLACKSBURG – Four members of the Virginia Tech men's tennis team were represented in the final fall ITA standings, heading into the spring dual season.
Ryan Fishback headlined the group with a singles ranking of No. 32 followed by Alvaro Saez-Royuela Ariza breaking into the top 125 for the first time at No. 121.
In doubles, Jordan Chrysostom and Fishback moved up two slots to No. 13 after an impressive 4-1 campaign. Fishback was named yet again alongside Alberto Orso as the No. 23 pairing this fall.
Ariza enters the standings for the first time in his career after compiling an 11-4 record, including a 3-0 outing at the Bonita Bay Classic this past weekend to wrap up the season.
Fishback and Orso represented the Hokies at the ITA Fall National Championships. The two qualified behind and run to the doubles final at the ITA Atlantic Regional followed by a quarterfinal appearance in the fall national championships, producing wins over Presbyterian College and Georgia.
Fishback earned a spot in the round of 32 following his singles title at the ITA Atlantic Regional that featured two top-10 wins. The Geneva, N.Y. native finished with a 6-5 record this fall.
