HAUL-OWAY
Tucker Holloway had himself a day. The true freshman from Andrews, North Carolina had seven punt returns for 188 yards, etching his name in the Virginia Tech record book for most punt return yards in a game. He surpassed Antonio Freeman's 164 yards against Pitt in 1994. His 90-yard punt return for a touchdown was the fourth-longest punt return score in school history. Frank Loria holds the record at 95 yards against Miami in 1967.

Tech now has two games this season in which it has scored on a punt return (other was a punt block at Pitt on Oct. 8). The last time that happened was in 2018 against both Florida State and Virginia.

TRIPLE THREAT
The Hokies scored on offense, defense and special teams against Georgia Tech. It was the first time Tech scored on all three sides of the ball since a 59-7 win on Oct. 21, 2017 against North Carolina. It was the first time the scenario resulted in a loss since falling to Syracuse 28-26 in 1998.

ONE MORE POINT
The one-point loss was the second time this season Tech fell by the same margin (22-21 at NC State on Oct. 27). It marked the sixth time in school history that Tech has had two one-point games in the same season, and it is the first since 1969 in which the Hokies have lost back-to-back games by a point. Other seasons with multiple one-point games were 1992, 1987, 1974 and 1930. The Hokies are now 21-24 in one-point games.

THREE PASSERS
Quarterbacks Grant Wells and Jason Brown and running back Chance Black all attempted a pass in the game. The last time three different players attempted a pass in a game was last season against Virginia when quarterbacks Braxton Burmeister and Connor Blumrick and wide receiver Tayvion Robinson each threw a pass.
