BLACKSBURG – Nine Virginia Tech Hokies from the men's and women's track and field teams are set to compete at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Friday, March 10 to Saturday, March 11.
The two-day championship meet will be held in the Albuquerque Convention Center. Live stream will be available on ESPN+ starting at 11:30 a.m. ET on Friday, March 10 and 1:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 11. The championship meet will re-air on ESPNU on March 12 at 6:00 p.m. and March 13 at 7:00 p.m. Live Results

No. 6 | Kenna Stimmel | W Pole Vault | Fri. 4 PM
Freshman Kenna Stimmel won the 2023 ACC Indoor Championships clearing a height of 14' 5.25" (4.40m). Stimmel earned her spot into Nationals jumping 14' 7.25" (4.45m) at the Doc Hale VT Meet on Feb. 3. Stimmel is seeded sixth in the women's pole vault.
No. 7 | Julia Fixsen | W Pole Vault | Fri. 4 PM
Tied with Stimmel at 14' 7.25" (4.45m), Fixsen will be making her third indoor championship appearance in the women's pole vault. Fixsen finished second at the 2023 ACC Indoor Championships with a height of 14' 5.25" (4.40m). She claimed bronze at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Championships clearing 14' 7.5" (4.46m). Looking for gold, Fixsen is seeded seventh in the women's pole vault.
No. 14 | Journey Gurley | W Pole Vault | Fri. 4 PM
Gurley qualified for nationals clearing a personal-best height of 14' 2.5" (4.33m) at the Hokie Invitational on Jan. 20. She is the 2021 NCAA DII Outdoor pole vault champion. Gurley is seeded 14th in the women's pole vault.

Butler returns to the NCAA Indoor Championships as the 2022 800m national champion. During the 2023 regular season, she broke the school record in the mile clocking a time of 4:31:41 at the David Hemery Valentine Invite. Butler is seeded fourth in the women's mile.
No. 6 | Rebecca Mammel | W Weight Throw | Fri. 6 PM
Mammel is a two-time ACC Indoor Champion in the women's weight throw, having recently set an all-time ACC record of 77' 8.75" (23.69m) at the Virginia Tech Challenge on Feb. 17. She placed seventh at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Championships, a step up from her eighth place finish in 2021. Mammel is seeded sixth in the women's weight throw.
No. 9 | Sara Killinen | W Weight Throw | Fri. 6 PM
Killinen set the Finland national record at the 2023 ACC Indoor Championships throwing 74' 4.25" (22.66m), finishing second. She placed runner-up at the 2022 ACC Indoor Championships with a distance of 72' 10.5" (22.21m). Killinen is seeded ninth in the women's weight throw.
No. 10, 16 | Cole Beck | M 60M, 200M | Fri. 9:15, 10:25 PM (Prelims) | Sat. 9:10, 9:50 PM (Final)
Beck placed second in the 60m, and third in the 200m at the 2023 ACC Indoor Championships. Beck clocked a personal-best time of 6.57 in the 60m prelims at the indoor championships.
In 2022, he claimed gold in the 200m (21.01) and bronze in the 60m (6.68) at the ACC Indoor Championships. Beck is seeded 10th in the 60m and 16th in 200m, and is the only Tech athlete competing in two events.

No. 15 | Victoria Gorlova | W Triple Jump | Sat 5:45 PM
Gorlova is a two-time ACC Indoor Champion in the women's triple jump, winning the event two weeks ago in Louisville with a distance of 43' 0.25" (13.11m). She was named the 2022 ACC Women's Field MVP finishing first in the triple and sixth in the long jump. Gorlova is seeded 15th in the women's triple jump.
No. 15 | Chauncey Chambers | M Triple Jump | Sat 8:45 PM
Chambers is making his second appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the men's triple jump having qualified with a season-best mark of 16.14m. Chambers placed fourth at the 2023 ACC Indoor Championships with a distance of 51' 9.75" (15.79m). He placed second at the 2022 conference championships with a personal-best mark of 53' 5.5" (16.29m).
