BLACKSBURG – The energy at Virginia Tech is through the roof as the Hokies step onto the Steve Johnson Practice Field Wednesday for their first practice of fall camp.

Tech enters its second preseason camp with Brent Pry leading the charge and 41% of its roster newcomers to Blacksburg.

With an influx of transfers, freshmen and returning student-athletes, the Hokies are excited to begin Phase Four of their training schedule.

Players wore helmets and spider shoulder pads as they went through positional drills and 1-on-1s to start fall camp. Intensity levels for practice were quickly established during competitive periods to start the day and continued into offense versus defense team sessions.

The team will meet with the media Thursday following its second practice of fall camp.Gallery: (8-2-2023) FB: 2023 Fall Camp Day One On Tuesday, Virginia Tech athletics announced that single-game tickets with seat locations were made available to the public.
