CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Virginia Tech football will play at Marshall at noon ET on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Joan C. Edwards Stadium on ESPN2, the conference announced Monday.
The matchup will be the 14th meeting between the two schools, with the Hokies dominating the all-time series 11-2. The last time the two teams played was on Dec. 1, 2018, when Tech was victorious in Blacksburg 41-20, winning its final game of the regular season.
Looking back at the most recent game played in West Virginia, the Hokies rallied off another 20-point margin of victory, defeating Marshall 30-10. This will be the first matchup with head coach Brent Pry at the helm.
Tech is currently 1-1 on the season and will travel to face Rutgers on Saturday, Sept. 16 for its first road game of 2023.
