CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Virginia Tech football will play Florida State at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 7, at Doak S. Campbell Stadium, the conference announced Monday.

The network designation will be officially set following the games on Sept. 30. As it currently stands, the game will air on either ABC or ESPN once the network designation is finalized.

Tech's matchup with Florida State will be the first meeting between the two schools since 2018. In the most recent matchup, the Hokies were victorious in Tallahassee, downing the Seminoles 24-3 on Sept. 3. Both teams entered the contest ranked No. 20 and No. 19, respectively.

As of Monday, Sept. 25 Florida State is ranked fifth on the AP Top 25 poll. This will be the team's first matchup with head coach Brent Pry at the helm.

Tech is currently slated to host Pitt on Saturday at 8 p.m. for its second primetime game of the year.
