CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Virginia Tech defensive end Antwaun Powell-Ryland has been named the ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week for his efforts in the 30-13 win over Wake Forest.

Powell-Ryland recorded six tackles, including 4.5 tackles for loss, four of which were sacks. The Portsmouth, Virginia native also registered a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, finishing the game with a 90.2 defensive grade by Pro Football Focus, his highest of the season.

He becomes the fourth Hokie to tally four sacks in a game, joining Bruce Smith, Morgan Roane and current Tech defensive line coach J.C. Price. Price was the last Hokie to accomplish the feat during the 1995 season against Miami.

Tech has reached its open week before welcoming Syracuse to Lane Stadium for a Thursday night tussle on Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The Hokies have sold out every home game this season, and tickets are still available for the matchup with the Orange. Secure your seats with Fan 4-packs starting at just $25 per ticket.
