Returning to Lane Stadium for its final regular-season contest at home, Virginia Tech football will play host to NC State on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m. ET, with gates opening two hours out at 1:30 p.m.
The atmosphere should be electric once again, with the game being announced a sellout, marking Tech's fifth sellout this fall. Fans still seeking ticket options for the matchup are encouraged to visit SeatGeek, the official secondary marketplace of Virginia Tech Athletics.
Get ready for gameday with five things to know for the Hokies' clash with the Wolfpack.
1. Senior Day
Before the game begins, Tech's senior class will be honored on the field. Players, with their families, will be escorted to the middle of the field and be greeted by head coach Brent Pry. Be sure to get there early to cheer and send off the seniors the right way, with it starting approximately at 3 p.m.
2. Triumph NIL Enter to Win
Yesterday, Triumph NIL announced an enter-to-win deal, featuring three winners receiving a signed football by head coach Brent Pry and the Hokies' captains. To enter, make a minimum contribution of $10. Fans that do will receive a code afterwards that allows them to try Triumphnil.com for free for one month. During the first quarter on Saturday, fans will also be able to see an exclusive Michael Vick Triumph video. The five-day offer expires on Monday, Nov. 20 at 11:59 p.m.
3. Enjoy the Pregame Festivities
There is a lot happening in Blacksburg on Saturday, and we want you to be equipped to partake in it all.
Hokie Village
Located on the turf soccer/lacrosse practice field off of Beamer Way, the complimentary event begins at noon and concludes at 2:45 p.m. Fans can enjoy food trucks and drinks available for purchase. Free activities include inflatables, a balloon artist, face painting and live music from CJ Fields. For the 2024 season, chairbacks will be installed in price levels 1-6. The chairbacks will be available in Hokie Village, allowing fans to get acquainted with the change ahead of next year.
Hokie Walk
Hokie Nation will be able to welcome the Hokies as they arrive at Lane Stadium. The buses will arrive on Beamer Way outside of Lane Stadium at approximately 12:50 p.m.
March to Victory
The Marching Virginians lead the March to Victory from the Marching Virginians Center to Lane Stadium at approximately 2 p.m. Joined by members of the HighTechs, Corps of Cadets and Skipper, the march leaves the Marching Virginians Center at the top of Chicken Hill, winds through Lot 5 on to Sterrett Drive between Lots 2 and 3 and finishes along the sidewalk outside of South End Zone into Lane.
Hokies for the Hungry
Marching Virginians members will be at each gate collecting canned food for the Montgomery County Christmas Store. Additionally, there will be large containers at Gates 1, 3 and in Lot 5.
4. Stay For More! Hokies Weekend at Home
The Hokies have three other games at home on Sunday and Monday and you're going to want to check them out on the court.
Volleyball (free admission) starts it off with a contest versus Wake Forest on Sunday at noon at Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum. For those wanting to participate in the enter-to-win and are attending the volleyball match, there will be a QR code for you to scan to verify your attendance. Men's basketball follows a few hours later at 5 p.m. against Wofford, with tickets starting at $35. To wrap it up on Monday, women's basketball faces UNCG at 6 p.m., with tickets starting at $12.
Fans that attend three out of four home contests during this timeframe will be entered in to win an autographed women's basketball poster and two tickets to a women's basketball home game.
5. Parking, Postgame Traffic Patterns and Your Phone Being Prepared is Crucial
Football parking and tailgating on gameday is a valued commodity, and it becomes extremely significant as we welcome the entire Virginia Tech community to campus. Therefore, to ensure that each game day guest has a positive and safe tailgating experience, the following rules should be adhered to. Click here to learn more about postgame traffic patterns.
Be sure to download your mobile ticket to your wallet before you arrive at the stadium. This eliminates the variable of not having strong WiFi around the stadium and not being able to download it. Click here for more information on downloading mobile tickets.
Fans can download their tickets through the new, improved HokieSports app. They must update the app on their phone if they are an iOS user, or if they are an Android user, they must redownload the HokieSports app on its own, instead of updating, to be able to download their tickets via Virginia Tech Athletics. Fans can download the HokieSports app here.
Lane Stadium is a mobile-first and cashless venue when it comes to ticketing and concessions. Once inside, only a credit or debit card will be accepted at the concession stands for those wanting to purchase food and drink. There will be a limited number of pre-paid cards available for purchase with cash at the Hokie Shop trailer in Lot 4 outside of Lane Stadium.
Have tickets and can't make the game? Mobile tickets can be easily transferred to peers or can also be listed with peace of mind on SeatGeek, the official secondary ticket marketplace of Virginia Tech Athletics.
