Divers compete at Tennessee Invitational

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Virginia Tech divers traveled to Knoxville to compete in the annual Tennessee Invitational from Nov. 15 – Nov. 17. In the competition, Tech competed against Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Virginia, Duke, North Carolina, South Carolina and UNC Asheville. The men finished with a final score of 40, and the women finished with a final score of 15.

Tech Women
Grace Austin placed fourth in the diving finals for the women's 3 meter. Austin finished with a final score of 303.95 with an average round score of 50.66. She improved from the preliminary round, opening in fifth with a final score of 300.20.

Tech Men
In the men's 3 meter final, Jacob Fisher excelled and finished second. Through his six dives, he earned a final score of 356.80.

Freshman Rocky Ramsland made the final for the men's 1 meter. He finished in 11th with a final score of 287.47. 

Up Next 
Multiple Hokie divers will be heading back to Knoxville, Tenn., to compete in the USA Diving Winter Nationals. The competition will take place from Nov. 29 – Dec. 6.
