The Virginia Tech Baseball team is set to return to Blacksburg for its home season-opening series against Rhode Island on Feb. 23-25. The Hokies will debut their first game on English Field at Atlantic Union Bank Park on Friday, Feb. 23 at 4 p.m. ET. Don't miss out on this special occasion, as attendees will enjoy free admission to all scheduled games to welcome the Hokies home.

The Hokies kicked off their season on a strong note, securing a 2-1 series win over the Charlotte 49ers on the road. Game one concluded with an impressive 10-run lead and a shutout. True freshman Brett Renfrow had a notably strong performance, starting in his first game as a Hokie and tallying 10 outs from 17 batters faced. With this momentum, Virginia Tech aims to carry forward its success as it prepares to take on Rhode Island.

As in previous years, all non-conference games will remain free to the general public. However, Tech's 15-ticket Flex Season Pass, priced at $120, features 15 flex tickets with the option to purchase additional tickets at $8 each. The holder has the flexibility to use the 15 tickets for one fan at 15 games, five fans at three games, 15 fans at one game, or any custom allocation of 15 tickets across Tech's home ACC schedule.

Fans who purchase the 15-ticket Flex Season Pass will also qualify to earn Hokie Club priority points, which will enhance the holder's likelihood of receiving early access to postseason ticket sales.

The Hokies boast a history of success against Rhode Island, holding a 6-1 record in the teams' seven total meetings. Numerous exciting events are planned for this year's home season opener, so gear up for this highly anticipated matchup against the Hokies' Atlantic 10 foe.

Get ready to put on your boots and sway to the rhythm for Country Music Day at English Field! Fans will be able to enjoy their favorite country hits during the second game of the series on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. Be sure to join us for an unforgettable evening where you can catch both great music and a great baseball game.

Lastly, cap off your weekend with some family entertainment for Sunday Funday. After the last game of the series, weather permitting, all kids in attendance will have the opportunity to run the bases just like their favorite Hokie. It's the perfect Sunday activity, so be sure to bring the whole family and join us on Feb. 25 at 1 p.m. to support the Hokies for their last series game against the Rams.
