Soundbites: Week Three Press Conference (Old Dominion)

Pry, Felton and Peebles step to the podium as Tech prepares for Old Dominion

BLACKSBURG – Following its victory in the home opener, Virginia Tech football has its sights set on a new opponent, the Old Dominion Monarchs. Head coach Brent Pry, along with student-athletes wide receiver Da'Quan Felton and defensive lineman Aeneas Peebles, took the podium on Tuesday to speak with local media about the upcoming matchup. Watch and read below to see what they had to say during the weekly press conference:

Head Coach Brent Pry

On the challenges of playing on the road:
"We've got to be the type of team that can go to Old Dominion and win a football game. That's who we need to be. And we'll prepare all week that way. It's a challenge to win on the road, period. It's a challenge to win a night game on the road. And it's a challenge to win against a school in your own state on the road. So there's a lot at play there for us, a lot of motivation to have a great week and go play well."

Wide receiver Da'Quan Felton

On Stephen Gosnell's acrobatic catch against Marshall:
"I loved it. Anybody that's part of the program knows that's just Stephen. He makes those kind of plays. You throw that ball up, Stephen will come down with it, so it was no surprise. Happy for him and proud of him."

Defensive Tackle Aeneas Peebles

On the chemistry among the interior defensive linemen:
"Yeah, it's been great playing alongside those guys. I've felt real comfortable just being in there with whoever. There's never been a time where I've been in the game, and I've been uncomfortable with who my counterpart is or who I'm playing next to, and that's a great feeling. Because at times, that can happen in football where you're not completely in 100% trust with the person next to you. So I'm thankful that I'm in a situation right now where I can look at a guy next to me and be like, we're going to do something special right now."
