Pry, Price and Powell-Ryland address media following 37-17 victory

NORFOLK, Va. – Virginia Tech football recorded its first road game victory of the season with a commanding 37-17 win against Old Dominion. Following the win, head coach Brent Pry, defensive line coach JC Price and defensive end Antwaun Powell-Ryland spoke with the media. Read and watch below to see what they had to say:

Head Coach Brent Pry

On Powell-Ryland's four sack performance:
"Yeah, first of all, that's the second time he's had four sacks in a game. And that's only him and Bruce Smith that have done that. And Bruce was here tonight. So an incredible accomplishment by APR to do it at home. So many family and friends here, really, really happy for him. He did his personal share last night for the team and talked about coming home. Talked about coming to Virginia Tech, how it was the right thing for him and what it meant for him. And I'm just very, very, very happy and proud of his efforts tonight."

Defensive Line Coach JC Price

On APR's sack fumble and recovery:
"Oh, we've struggled getting turnover so far this year. So we try to shoot for two a game. And if you have two a game, you're probably going to be top of the nation in turnover margin. Like everything just comes in bunches. You know, we hadn't had one and we only had one the week before. And it was the trifecta, man. When you get a sack and cause a fumble and you recover it."

Defensive End Antwaun Powell-Ryland

On taking feedback to be a better leader:
"I feel like I've definitely bettered my leadership, which allowed me to carry the lunch pail. So just really taking criticism from my teammates and my coaches. I ask them, is there anything that I need to do better? Or what do you want from me that's gonna help us? And I really take that into consideration."
