WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Virginia Tech women's golf team finished ninth out of 17 teams at the Landfall Tradition, which concluded Sunday at the Country Club of Landfall (par 72, 6,178 yards).
Behind rounds of 294, 291 and 299, the Hokies posted a top-10 showing in their fall finale at 20-over 884. Florida State captured the team title at 2-under 862 (279-288-295), one shot clear of Duke's 1-under 863.
Valentine Delon led Tech with a 2-over 218 (74-69-75) to tie for 22nd. Morgan Ketchum tied for 25th at 3-over 219 (73-73-73).
Lauren Olivares Leon of NC State and Lottie Woad of Florida State were co-medalists at 6-under 210.
The Hokies are next in action Feb. 10-11 at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate, which will be contested at Hammock Creek Golf Club in Palm City, Fla.
