BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech football’s road contest against ACC foe Syracuse is slated for Saturday, Nov. 2 at JMA Wireless Dome at noon ET on The CW.
The Hokies and Orange will face off for the 21st overall matchup between the two programs. The contest also marks the first game Tech will play in Syracuse, New York, since 2016, the inaugural game of the Orange in the ACC. In their latest matchup, Virginia Tech won last season in commanding fashion with a 38-10 victory in Lane Stadium on a Thursday night.
Tech and Syracuse have a history dating back to their time in the Big East, where the series is evenly split across 12 contests. The Hokies won the final contest as Big East conference mates 51-7, and the programs would have a 13-year gap before their next matchup as members of the ACC. Since Syracuse joined the ACC in 2013, the Hokies and Orange have faced off three times.
After traveling to upstate New York, head coach Brent Pry, and staff are set to host No. 9 Clemson. Tech’s matchup against the Tigers, slated for Saturday, Nov. 9, is sold out. Fans still interested in attending can find ticket options on SeatGeek, the official fan-to-fan ticket marketplace of Virginia Tech Athletics.
