Virginia Tech lacrosse announces fan experience elements for 2025 season

Hokies to host 10 games in Blacksburg this spring

BLACKSBURG – As the lacrosse season approaches, the Virginia Tech athletics department announced new and returning fan experience elements to expect when attending lacrosse games this season. 
  
THOMPSON FIELD ACCESS  
Gates at Thompson Field will open 60 minutes before the first draw on gamedays. Thompson Field is located at 867 Washington St SW. 
 
BEAMER-LAWSON INDOOR PRACTICE FACILITY ACCESS  
Gates at Beamer-Lawson Indoor Practice Facility will open 60 minutes before the first draw on gamedays. Beamer-Lawson Indoor Practice Facility is located off of Callaghan Sheridan Way. Fans will enter through the southeast entrance of the building. Portable restrooms will be available outside of the venue on Callaghan Sheridan Way. 
 
TICKETS 
Admission to Virginia Tech regular season lacrosse games is free with no tickets required for entry into the venues.  
  
CLEAR BAG POLICY 
Virginia Tech's clear bag policy remains in place for lacrosse home events. This policy helps provide a safer environment for spectators and expedites fan entry into the venue. 
  
Approved bags are limited to: 

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC, and do not exceed 12'' x 6'' x 12'' 
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)

CASHLESS CONCESSION STANDS 
All concessions sales are cashless at all venues, requiring a debit or credit card for purchase. This minimizes wait times and eliminates the exchanging and handling of currency. Fans who do not have access to a debit or credit card should consider buying a prepaid card at Kroger in advance of the game.  
  
In addition, concessions will include menu options at fan-friendly prices, similar to years previous. Alcohol is not served at lacrosse. Concessions will be limited when played at the Beamer-Lawson Indoor Practice Facility. 

 
PARKING 
Fans are encouraged to park in Lot 1 (Coliseum West Lot) near Lane Stadium and Thompson Field, or Lot 2 (Stadium Lot) near Lane Stadium. However, fans parking in these public lots Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. will need to pay to park using the university's ParkMobile platform. Click here to learn about ParkMobile.  

For February 15th and March 1st, Lot 1 will be reserved for men’s basketball passes only. This lot will be closed to the general public. Fans wanting to attend lacrosse are encouraged to park in the Litton Reaves Lot.

    • Rom Com Night. Celebrate Valentine's Day early with your favorite rom com inspired night! 
    • Valentine's Day Card Station. Make your own Valentine's Day card for your loved ones! 

  • Saturday, Feb. 22 vs. Pitt at 12:00 p.m. (Noon)

  • Thursday, March 20 vs. UNC at 7:00 p.m. 

  • Sunday, March 23 vs. High Point at 12:00 p.m (Noon) 

    • Student Appreciation Day. Calling all students! Come out for a fun packed day at Thompson Field. 
    • Orange Effect. Wear orange! 
    • Senior Day. Join us as we honor our graduating players and celebrate their impact on Virginia Tech lacrosse! 

  • Saturday, April 5 vs. Clemson at 12:00 p.m (Noon) 

    • Dolphin Day. Dive into a game full of dolphin themed fun! 
    • Youth Clinic. The lacrosse team will host a post-game clinic for ages 8th grade and below. More information on host to sign up, coming soon. 

  • Sunday, April 12 vs. Syracuse at 12:00 p.m (Noon) 

    • Hokie Hi Weekend at Home. Perfect way to spend the afternoon before our Football Spring Game! 
    • Sticker Giveaway. Fans will be able to receive a special sticker while supplies last.
