BOSTON, Mass. - A portion of the Virginia Tech distance squad competed at the Terrier DMR Challenge on Friday evening, showing in four events.

In the men's mile, Viktor Idhammar (3:55.51) and Ethan Coleman (3:57.59) both boasted personal-bests and top 10 all-time performers marks.  Idhammar shifted from No. 3 all-time to No. 2 while Coleman rocketed into No. 4 from No. 8.

Star Price dominated in the 800m, besting multiple professional and top-tier collegiate athletes, with her 2:01.17.  The result delivered the program record, previously held by Lindsey Butler, and places Price No. 9 in the NCAA this season and No. 17 all-time.

The men's DMR churned out a 9:19.88, a mark that's good for the program record, besting the previous record by three seconds.  The relay, consisting of Nick Plant, Sam Herenton, Christian Jackson and George Couttie, joins the NCAA all-time top 25 performers list, landing at No. 9, and is sixth in the NCAA this season.
