LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Winning the 2025 ACC Indoor Championships in style, the men's Virginia Tech track and field program earned the nod during the final event, finishing ahead of rival Virginia in the 4x400-meter relay Monday at Norton Healthcare Sport and Learning Center.
The Hokies finished with 82 points, outpacing the Cavaliers by seven points. It marked Tech's ninth ACC title on the men's side. The women finished sixth with 53 points Monday.
On the women's side, Katrin Brzyszkowska led in the final day, collecting the silver medal in the shot put with her throw of 16.70m. Caitlyn Bobb was the other female Hokie to podium, boasting a personal-best Bermuda National Record of 52.69 in the women's 400m final for her silver medal. Star Price also heavily contributed, tallying points for Virginia Tech in the 800m final with her 2:03.54 96th). The women's 4x400m finished 3:37.95 (8th) for a Virginia Tech No. 5 all-time top 10 performance.
The men opened the final day of action sitting in seventh place with 14 total points. The men's pole vault opened the scoring action for the Hokies, with Maddox Hamm collecting the silver medal at a 5.59m personal-best clearance. Ben Conacher reached 5.49m for a fourth-place finish and Conner McClure cleared 5.29m for fifth. All three scored points for the Hokies.
In the men's triple jump, Federico Lorenzo Bruno became a difference-maker for the Hokies, landing a 15.41m distance for sixth place.
The men's 800m captivated the arena, as Nick Plant fought for the gold finish with his 1:46.94 and Christian Jackson was awarded the bronze for his 1:47.47. Dylan DeCambre contibuted to the point scoring with his 1:51.29 (7th) finish.
Judson Lincoln IV claimed both the 200m and 400m title, running for first place in the prelims and finals of both events. His 400m final renewed his Norton Healthcare Sport and Learning Center facility record and his 200m is good for a new program record. His performances led to his crowning of men's track MVP at the conclusion of the meet.
The men's 4x400m was the deciding factor as the point distribution leading into the event was Virginia Tech 74, Virginia 73, for the team title. Tomas Kersulis, Sam Herenton, Ali Diaby and Kahleje Tillmon collected the silver in the event and a No. 8 all-time performance for Virginia Tech to secure the title for the men.
