WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.  – No. 37 Virginia Tech fell in their fifth straight match, 4-3 to No. 35 Wake Forest.

In a highly competitive match-up, the Hokies battled back from down 3-0 in the match before falling heartbreakingly.

Tara Gorinsek picked up the first point of the day with a win by retirement after a 6-4 first set win. Mila Mulready was the second Hokie to secure a victory as she grabbed a three-set win over Brianna Baldi 6-1, 2-6, 6-1.  Laima Frosch tied up the match at 3 with a 7-6(0), 6-4 win over Sankavi Gownder.

Arina Gamretkaia battled in her match, coming back from down 6-4 in the first set to win the second set 6-4 to keep Tech alive in the match. She ultimately fell to Kady Tannenbaum 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 in an all-out battle.
