Hokies dish top performances at the VertKlasse Meeting

HIGH POINT, N.C. - Virginia Tech track & field was represented by the pole vault event squad and Vlad Puchko at the 2025 Vertklasse Meeting on Saturday.

Vlad Puchko dominated his previous program record in the discus throw (61.90m) with his 63.15m (207'2") distance.  He shattered not only his own program record, but the meet record and facility record with his new personal-best.  After the weekend, he ranks No. 5 in the NCAA this season and No. 2 in the ACC. He also collected his second event win of the 2025 season.

Chiara Sistermann and Erin Kelleher both recorded all-time top 10 performances for Virginia Tech in the women's pole vault.  Sistermann secured an outdoor personal-best of 4.32m (14'2") to advance her standing as No. 7 all-time and Kelleher made her first entry into the record book with her overall personal-best of 4.22m (13'10"), landing No. 10 all-time for Tech.

Maddox Hamm secured his first event win of the outdoor season in the men's pole vault, reaching a height of 5.40m (17'8.5") for the win in a field of 13.
