BLACKSBURG - Running back Terion Stewart has been named to the Doak Walker Award watch list. The award is annually presented to the nation’s best college running back.

Established in 1990, the award is named after SMU running back Doak Walker, who played for the Mustangs from 1945 to 1949 and later for the Detroit Lions from 1950 to 1955.

Stewart (5-9, 222) joined the Hokies in the offseason from Bowling Green where he appeared in 11 games in 2024, making six starts. Stewart rushed for 898 yards and six touchdowns last season on his way to All-MAC First Team honors. He is one of 14 Bowling Green players to rush for at least 2,000 yards in a career.

Don't miss watching Stewart and his teammates in action this fall. Purchase your tickets today to ensure your place in Lane Stadium's electric atmosphere.
