BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech returns to a sold-out Lane Stadium this Saturday, Nov. 22, at noon ET to close out the home slate with a rivalry clash against No. 14 Miami. With Senior Day recognitions, community initiatives, and a full lineup of pregame entertainment, Hokie Nation will have plenty to enjoy before the Hokies and Hurricanes kick off. Here are Five Things to Know ahead of the matchup, which will be televised on ESPN:
- Senior Day Celebrations–At 11:30 a.m., join us in honoring more than 15 graduating Hokies from the football program with a special Senior Day presentation before kickoff. Arrive early to secure your seat and celebrate the dedication and accomplishments of this year’s senior class.
- Hokies for the Hungry– Help support the Marching Virginians’ annual mission to combat hunger in Southwest Virginia. Partnering with Feeding Southwest Virginia, the MVs will perform fan favorites across campus and in the parking lots while collecting food and monetary donations for those in need. - Flyover & Pregame Show – Be in your seat early as the pregame Highty-Tighties performance concludes with the national anthem accompanied by a U.S. Air Force flyover featuring a C-17 Cargo Plane (weather permitting). Don’t miss this powerful tribute to kick off the final home game of the season. The C-17 will also do a low altitude demonstration from 10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. over areas like parking lots and Hokie Village, so have your camera ready for photos of this exciting event!
- Hokie Village– Enjoy the free, family-friendly fan fest opening at 9 a.m. ET and closing 45 minutes prior to kickoff. Saturday’s Hokie Village includes inflatables, food trucks, live music from Miller Holler, a petting zoo,sponsor activations from Coca-Cola, Virginia Cooperative Extension, and Carter Machinery, and more. Make it a part of your gameday routine!
- Arrive Early &Prepare Your Phone – Fans are encouraged to arrive early to avoid delays and enjoy all pregame activities.
