Jonas Roman is in his first year with the Virginia Tech football program as an Assistant Football Equipment manager. He began as a student equipment manager at his alma mater, Florida State University from 2023-24. His responsibilities included coordinating day-to-day operations of practice/gameday needs for the running backs and team travel, distributing team gear for players and staff, and maintaining and detailing protective gear. Jonas helped the team reach an ACC Championship game and a New Year’s Six bowl game during his time in Tallahassee.
Roman earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Sport Management from Florida State University. He grew up in a military household and has moved over 8 times and lived in 6 different states and Germany. Roman attended Prattville High School in Alabama and Lenape High School in New Jersey.
